This month saw the third year of the annual Chicken Keepers Consortium held at Green End Farm in Oxfordshire. The event welcomed hen enthusiasts from around the UK to hear about breeding of stock and chat about their passion for poultry.

All the Consortium guests were able to walk around the breeding pens at Green End Farm, have a delicious afternoon tea, visit some arts and crafts artisans plus browse plenty of hentastic things to buy. It was a great day out with everyone receiving a goody bag at the end.

During the day speakers included Claudia Audley from Bury Green Poultry and Lewis Wescott, a trainee avian vet speaking about incubating & hatching and hen health & welfare respectively.

easichick was delighted to support the day providing three lucky winners with a prize of our award winning poultry bedding. With autumn fast approaching, easichick is warm and comfortable for your hens. Look out for our posts on what the winners and their birds thought of the bedding.

We’d love to hear from other easichick users, so do get in touch.
