We caught up with Chris Smith easibed sponsored international show jumper after a busy day training some of his jumping students.
Chris said: “It’s been nonstop since returning from the rather wet Sunshine Tour in Spain this March, there I was riding for HR Horses, mainly 5 year olds up to 1.45m. It was a great opportunity to get away from our cold British weather and gain some great experience. Now it’s all about getting a string of horses together at my home yard based in Cheshire. I have some nice young horses coming up through the classes plus a couple of new horses that will be aiming for bigger classes including Cracker T owned by Pauline Woodward and Lootloose LG owned by LG Sport Horses.
This summer my focus is to qualify for HOYS and I have several horses in mind. I have one in the Foxhunter and Newcomers 2nd round already. I’m really looking forward to Bolesworth International in June and SouthView Masters Showjumping in July with my older horses, plus many other shows so it’s exciting to see what the future holds.
Chris spends his time training his regular students and also with his team of horses which keeps his really busy.
